Becca Ford – Summer Intensive Director

Becca is from Vermillion, SD where she began her dance training at VADO. She also trained with various companies including Summer Intensives with Colorado Ballet and the American Ballet Theatre in New York City. In 2017, she joined Colorado Ballet’s Pre-Professional Division on scholarship where she trained under world renowned instructors and performed such roles as Little Swan in Swan Lake and Moyna in Giselle. In 2020, Rebecca joined Minnesota Ballet where she had the opportunity to perform her dream role of Helena in Bruce Wells’ A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In 2023, she performed the role of Clara in Twin Cities Ballet’s A Minnesota Nutcracker and debuted her own ballet La Folia in their Choreographic Voices program. She is currently a freelance dancer, choreographer, and instructor as well as a Company Artist with South Dakota Ballet where she has performed the 2nd Movement Pas de Deux in The People Left Behind and was a soloist in Harvest Revelry. She has directed VADO’s summer intensive program for 5 consecutive years, and has an intense passion for teaching and inspiring South Dakota dancers.
